Abstract

Present study was conducted to evaluate the fetal physiological status using ultrasonography in three Saanen goats brought to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital for routine pregnancy diagnosis after artificial insemination. Ultrasonographic examination revealed single fetus inside the uterus of each dam. The fetuses were small for their gestational age. The absence of fetal heart beats, fetal movements and abnormal posture were indicating non-viable fetuses. All animals were apparently healthy.
