Abstract

Present study was conducted on 63 selected cases having 19 different types of congenital affections in ruminants presented at Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex. These were meningoencephalocele, exencephaly, anophthalmia, dermoid, macro-stomia, unusual skeletal growth in oral cavity , hypospadias, pseudo-hermaphrodite, umbilical hernia, persistent urachus, schistosomus reflexus, atresia ani, atresia recti, recto-vaginal fistula, atresia coli, contracted flexor tendon, tetramelia, hypomelia and agenesis of digits, and were diagnosed in domestic ruminant species. The radiographic and ultrasonographic examinations were performed as and when required to confirm the diagnosis. The corrective surgical interventions were also done.
