Abstract

The present study was conducted to know the actual chemical composition of different crop residues in Marathwada region of Maharashtra state. The chemical composition of dried sugarcane tops, jowar straw, wheat straw, paddy straw, soybean straw, dry natural grass was analysed before urea treatment and after urea treatment (2% and 4%). The data was analyzed and interpreted the results. The crude protein content, NFE and total ash were significantly increased whereas significant decrease in crude fiber level and ether extract level in different crop residues was observed.
