Abstract

The present study was carried out to find out incidence and pathomorphological lesions in the myocardium of 34 camels of 12 to15 years of age in North-Western, Rajasthan, India. Heart samples showing gross frank lesions were further processed for histopathological examination revealed different pathological conditions affecting the myocardium such as parasitic myocarditis (41.17 per cent), lymphocytic myocarditis (5.88 per cent), dilated cardiomyopathy (8.82 per cent), left ventricular hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (5.88 per cent), myocardial degeneration (23.52 per cent) and fatty infiltration (14.70 per cent).
