The present study was carried out in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Multistage simple random sampling was applied for selection of blocks, villages and respondents. A total sample size of 120 livestock owner and 20 respondents of veterinary services provider were selected from study area. The main findings of the study revealed 109 out of 401 animals were affected from mastitis. Among 109 animals 22 were indigenous cattle, 16 were cross breed cattle’s whereas 71 were buffaloes. The major infrastructure constraints were non availability of separate house for diseased animal and inadequate staff in veterinary hospital. Majority of the respondents were not followed cleanliness of udder with disinfectant and dry cow therapy which were the main predisposing factors for disease. Majority of (75.00%) respondents had considered lack of awareness to differentiate mastitis symptoms from other disease symptoms as the most important health constraint. Management constraints faced by farmer’s state that lack of awareness about preventive measures to control the mastitis disease and inefficiency to handled diseased animal were the important constraints. Invariably all the veterinary service providers reported that they had lack of infrastructural facility at hospital, lack of transportation facility to visit the villages and unavailability of diagnosis laboratory as major constraints.
