Abstract
The present study was conducted on 180 randomly selected tribal livestock owners with a specific objective to find out various constraints perceived by them in the adoption of scientific animal husbandry practices in the Southern region of Rajasthan. Data was collected from the respondents through semi-structured and pretested interview schedules at their farms. The study revealed that in the case of feeding practices, lack of knowledge about balanced ration was reported as a major constraint perceived by tribal livestock owners while the availability of trained persons for AI was reported as a major constraint in breeding practices. In the case of health aspect, access to veterinary services was considered a major constraint. Skilled farm labour availability was the major management constraint perceived by them.
